Larry Page and Sergey Brin are entrepreneurs of a new breed. This breed is known as the Netpreneurs. They are currently Number 5 and Number 6 on the Forbes 400 list. They are the youngest ever, and the fastest ever to crack the top 10 in the Forbes 400 list.
It’s fine and dandy that they are filthy rich billionaires. They have much influence and power, especially on the Internet. But what is their legacy. Will it be a legacy where the Internet is ruined? Or Will it be a legacy where the Internet is better for it? So, is Google driven by greed?

Now is the time for them to make that choice. Do they want to be known as people who made this world a worst place, or do they want to be known as the people who make a difference, and contributed to the world to make it a better place.
Some Microsoft’s practices, even to this day is monopolistic, and attempts to stifle competition. That’s why there were anti-trust suits. Now that’s Microsoft strategy in achieving dominance. How is Google going to achieve dominance on the World Wide Web? They are going to do so at a cost of privacy. In fact, there are accounts out there that say that Google is the biggest threat to privacy online. They want to monitor you, know your behavior, and know exactly what you do online. In fact they want to be all knowing, and all seeing. That’s how Google is going to achieve dominance, and to a certain extent a monopoly. The latest bid to achieve that goal is the purchase of DoubleClick for $3.1 billion. Here are 10 ways to protect your privacy online.
Not sure if you remember in the early years of Microsoft, Bill Gates was known as a greedy SOB. Now, if you look at him, he is one of the greatest philanthropists who donates thru the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He give more to charity than anyone else, that’s because he is after all the richest man in the world.
